Does the conversion lose quality?

JPG is a lossy format, but at the default quality the difference from the original is invisible to the eye. Lower the quality only when you need the smallest possible file.

What happens to transparency?

JPG does not support transparency. Transparent areas are filled with the background color you choose, white by default.

Can I convert many files at once?
