Does compressing a JPG reduce its quality?

JPG compression is lossy, so some detail is discarded, but at 70–80% quality the difference is invisible at normal viewing sizes. Keep a copy of the original if you plan to edit it heavily later.

Can I compress PNG or WebP files here too?

Yes. Any raster image is accepted and the result is saved as JPG. Transparent areas are filled with white, because JPG has no transparency. Use Compress PNG to keep transparency.

Are my files uploaded to a server?
